The positive response
in acceptance and adoption of the latest information technology
and Office Modernization plans of the organization by even remotely
situated field offices has encouraged further assessment and implementation
of modernized systems and upgradation possibilities at all levels
in the organization. Field Pay and Accounts Offices have started
using computers for preparation of salary bills and other routine
works. All the Pay and Accounts Offices under CBEC have e-mail facility
and are under NICNET user lists. These PAOs are in constant communication
with their respective DCAs and the headquarters. Important and urgent
information is being communicated through the internet.
