The Finance
Accounts comprise the Grant of the Central Board of Excise &
Customs and represents the accounts of the receipts and outflows to
/from the Consolidated Fund of India and the Public Accounts along
with the financial results and accounts of the Public bodies /
Institutions and assets as recorded in the accounts as per
requirement. The Finance Accounts are prepared in two parts which
consist of Summary Statements in respect of Revenue, Capital
(Consolidated fund), Debt, Deposit, Suspense & Remittance
transactions (Public Account) & Contingency Fund and detailed
statements in respect of these transactions. The basic material for
the preparation of Finance Accounts is the Statement of Central
Transactions (SCT), and it is prepared in the Principal Accounts
Office from the annual accounts and sent to Controller General of
Accounts office and Director General of Audit, Central Revenue, New
Delhi. A summary statement of the Finance Accounts for 2004-2005 is
presented in Fund Flow Statements I and II.
