I. On Line Data
Entry:- In REVACT package the data entry was initially done
on floppies through PCPART and on hard disk through XTPART. Now
after further modification in the REVACT package, the data entry,
modification, deletion etc are done through the same option provided
in the main module. This modification has avoided the loss of data
due to file corruption at the time of power failure/system failure
and validation can be done by the data entry operators on their
system before transfer of data to the main system for consolidation.
II. Revenue Reconciliation
between PAOs & Commissionerate:- The software provides an option
to enable the PAO to prepare a floppy for a month and hand it over
to the computer centre of respective Commissionerate for generation
of requisite less/more credit reports through SERMON package, the
software used in the Central Excise Commissionerates.
