ELECTRONIC CHALLAN INTEGRATED WITH REVACT (ECIR)

A detailed plan to have a web-based solution to the Transmission of Challan Data from Focal Point Bank to PAO, O/o Pr. CCA and RBI is also contemplated. The system will be developed by NIC on JAVA platform with Oracle as back end. The system will be named Electronic Challan Integrated with REVACT (ECIR). The overview of the plan is:

a) There will be only four users allowed in the system, i.e., FPB, PAO, RBI and the O/o Pr. CCA.

b) The electronic challan data will be uploaded to the NIC server by the FPB which will be stored in a Data Base in NIC Central Server.

c) PAO will download the data related to the concerned FPB for validation checks. After validation, processing through REVACT, PAO shall upload the processed data back to the Central Server.

d) RBI can upload the put-through statement in the existing format to the NIC server which will be stored separately in its original format.

e) Processed data from PAO will be available for use at the Pr. CCA's office. O/o the Pr. CCA can either download the data for incorporation of Put-through or incorporate the put-through uploaded by RBI selecting them from the Central Server itself. Again the data can be downloaded for taking necessary reports through the existing CDMM module.
